Jim McGinnis has left accounting software giant Intuit, where he served as vice president of product management. Succeeding him is Jorge Olavarrietta, formerly the ProConnect group product manager, and now director of product management.

“Jim left Intuit to pursue other career opportunities,” Intuit spokesperson Stephanie Friswell told Accounting Today. “His leadership was instrumental in accelerating our tax and small business strategy and we look forward to what he will accomplish next.”

McGinnis had been at Intuit since 2010, originally as vice president of marketing for the Accountants Professional Division, and later as vice president of the accounting segment for the company. During that time, he was named one of Accounting Today’s Most Influential People in Accounting several times.

Prior to joining Intuit, he served as executive vice president and general manager at Activision, and in various senior marketing positions at PepsiCo and Proctor and Gamble.
