Michigan firms MRPR CPAs & Advisors and Rhoades, Doehrer & Associates PLLC are combining forces, effective Jan. 1, 2017.
MRPR, based in Southfield and Ann Arbor, will expand its presence in Michigan by merging in RDA, headquartered in Saline. MRPR managing principal Angela Mastroionni will be responsible for overall management of the combined firm, including the Southfield office, while RDA co-founder Kim Rhoades and Steven Everson of MRPR will co-manage the firm’s offices in Saline and Ann Arbor.
MRPR specializes in servicing privately owned companies in different industries, including manufacturing and distribution, construction and real estate, transportation, engineering and professional service firms and technology and software. The firm also audits employee benefit plans and not‐for‐profit organizations. The combined firm will have 50 employees.
“We are extremely excited to bring these two teams together under the MRPR name,” Mastroionni said in a statement. “Rhoades, Doehrer & Associates specialize in client accounting and business advisory services, while MRPR has specialized in traditional audit/assurance services, tax compliance and consulting. The merger allows us to leverage our complimentary expertise and best practices providing optimal solutions to our clients and prospects. We will be well positioned to service clients and their ever changing accounting, tax and advisory needs.”
RDA, which was formerly known as Hantz Rhoades Doehrer, provides services such as financial and retirement planning, payroll, tax planning and preparation.
“MRPR is a well-respected firm and we are thrilled to be joining hands,” said Rhoades in a statement. “Our firms are like-minded, like-sized and have very similar cultures, which is important for the combined firm’s people and clients. Both sides will benefit from access to new services and expanded expertise.”
